With Canada's own Mum Linda Little moving up the Supreme line on her way to being the first-ever Supreme Worthy Advisor from outside the United States, the Grand Assembly of Canada has signed on with the Grand Assembly of Michigan to co-host the 2012 Supreme Sessions!
In order to do this successfully, we will need everyone's help to fundraise over the next few years. However, we know that you have all sold and purchased your fair share of chocolate bars, raffle tickets and other items - and in order to raise enough money to host such a large event, we would need to sell a whole lot more. Instead, we have signed on to a great, new and easy fundraising initiative:
FundScrip is a program where members purchase gift cards for things they'd buy anyway - there are many gas stations, grocery stores and other retailers available - to be delivered every other week, and the money is automatically withdrawn from their bank account. The member receives a gift card worth the full amount paid, but the company donates a percentage of the sale back to the Rainbow account - it's as easy as that!
To avoid selling the thousands of chocolate bars and raffle tickets we'd need to sell instead, however, we need everyone's help in this effort. Most local Assemblies currently have a Fundscrip program already set up. Once each Assembly's annual goal is reached for the Supreme 2012 fundraising, the remainder of the money earned goes directly to the Assembly…so you can help two great causes at once!
